Thrice is not breaking up. If nothing has broken us up by now, I doubt anything ever could.

However, we will be taking a break from being a full-time band, and the upcoming tour in the Spring will be the last one for the foreseeable future.

Playing music for the past 13 years with…

It’s been a long time coming and knowing that two of the thrice dudes have more than one child and being in their early to late thirties now with their seventh studio album I definitely saw this coming. Their albums have served as milestones in particular parts of my life, their records especially the illusion of safety are what really got me into the new wave of post hardcore bands that proceeded after illusion. They are also a band that I grew up alongside, evolving my musical tastes with theirs and developing my ear with each record they put out.

The chances of them reading this are slim and none, but I have to give a huge thanks to these guys and im super sad to see that they’ll be taking a break from being full time touring artists. Like all good things they must come to an end, or in their case all good things need a break
